Applied Electronics Joins OmniBus Systems' Channel Partner Program

Leading Canadian Supplier and Systems Integrator Partners With OmniBus to Extend Successful Deployments of IT-Based Automation Systems

DENVER — November 14, 2006— OmniBus Systems today announced that Toronto-based Applied Electronics, a leading designer, supplier, and integrator of high-end audio/visual technology for the Canadian market, has become an OmniBus Channel Partner. As a member of the program, Applied Electronics will provide OmniBus customers with the highest level of service possible, whether they purchase their OmniBus products directly from OmniBus or through the approved dealer network.

"OmniBus Systems is blazing a bold new path in IT-based production and playout with the iTX software-based transmission system, and we're excited about being involved with this concept and its revolutionary impact on the broadcast industry," said Applied Electronics President Paul Stechly. "The entire range of OmniBus automation solutions is leading the market in its ability to combine media asset management with machine control. As an OmniBus Systems Channel Partner, our company will be able to offer clients an even more extensive range of capabilities in bringing content to air."

Applied Electronics is by far the largest systems integrator in Canada and the only such company to equip TV stations in their entirety, from mics and cameras in acquisition through to design and installation of the plant infrastructure. The company has offices and technicians located across Canada. In establishing a closer relationship with Applied Electronics, OmniBus is positioned to deliver more finely tuned solutions to its customers.

Automation and content management are areas in which OmniBus has acknowledged expertise. The company's traditional automation and content management systems, and its new products such as iTX, all require high levels of integration with other systems. Valuable Channel Partners including Applied Electronics have the knowledge and experience to provide this service, with ongoing support as clients' needs change or grow.

"We're very pleased to welcome Applied Electronics to the Channel Partners program," said Mike Oldham, OmniBus Systems' CEO. "It's a win-win situation for everyone. We can work with partner companies to ensure the quality of direct customer support, and together we can use this relationship to further the successful deployment of IT-based systems within the broadcast industry. OmniBus has significantly expanded its sales and support programs in North America and Applied Electronics will be a key contributor to our future success."
