OmniBus iTX Extends Feature Set for Live Production

Live Graphics, Multiple Audio, HD Ingest, and Live Instant Playback Among Additions to Feature Set for Software Transmission System

LONDON — March 6, 2007 — OmniBus Systems, the award-winning provider of comprehensive automation and content management solutions to the broadcast industry, today announced the launch of OmniBus iTX 1.2 at NAB2007. iTX 1.2 adds extensive new functionality to OmniBus Systems’ revolutionary and category-defying broadcast master control and playout application.

New features of Version 1.2 include advanced 3-D graphics options that provide outstanding creative capabilities for news and live graphics transmission applications.

iTX 1.2 also delivers a range of new features including multiple audio tracks for multi-language applications, open and closed captions, HD ingest, MXF and GXF support, and live instant playback for news, sports, and entertainment programs.

“In this new version, we have focused on functionality that builds on iTX’s inherent advantages in fast-moving production environments, such as news and other live programming, where it offers cost-effective and extremely flexible production capabilities,” said Ian Fletcher, CTO of OmniBus Systems. “Because the iTX concept concentrates the functionality of the entire transmission, automation, video server, and master control chain into a single application, it provides unprecedented potential for editing and crafting high-quality content in response to late-breaking events.”

Powerful and fully featured for both SD and HD environments, iTX combines standard IT hardware and sophisticated software to significantly reduce the investment required to launch and operate a channel, without compromising production values.
