OmniBus iTX Integrates Support for Front Porch Digital DIVArchive

DENVER — April 13, 2009 — OmniBus Systems today announced that iTX, the groundbreaking, enterprise-class IT-based playout system, has now been integrated with Front Porch Digital's DIVArchive content storage management system. The latest version of iTX includes support for DIVArchive's full functionality, including clip archiving to DIVArchive storage, clip restore and partial restore from archive to iTX storage for playout.

iTX support for DIVArchive allows broadcasters to implement file-based workflows with seamless access to DIVArchive storage, along with IT network-attached storage (NAS) and conventional video server storage. Broadcasters adding new iTX channels can now share DIVArchive content with conventional playout systems.

"DIVArchive is the leader in broadcast archive storage," said John Wadle, vice president of technology for OmniBus Systems. "Combining DIVArchive with iTX's existing support for a wide variety of content file formats allows shared archive content to be used for direct playout in iTX without transcoding. This powerful synergy between two market-leading products brings significant added value for all broadcasters."

"We're excited that OmniBus has elected to integrate support of DIVArchive into its iTX product," said Dave Polyard, senior vice president of strategic sales, Front Porch Digital. "DIVArchive is an essential part of any digital workflow, whether it's in a traditional facility, in one using a state-of-the-art system such as iTX or where both are combined. We have many installations with OmniBus playout systems around the world, and this decision on the part of OmniBus to extend the technical integration with DIVArchive to iTX only strengthens a great relationship. Customers who know the respective reputations of Front Porch Digital and OmniBus will be pleased to see that two strong companies are moving forward in their integration of these leading-edge technologies."

Used by a roster of major broadcasters, iTX powers large-scale high-end transmission operations that require the ability to integrate into complex environments, exchange data with the broadcast business and traffic systems and respond quickly to new or changing requirements. iTX's cost-effectiveness, low maintenance overhead and space-efficiency also make it highly appropriate for emerging broadcast operations.

With a level of integration and interactivity that sets it apart from other IT-based products, iTX gives broadcasters a high degree of responsiveness to late-breaking events, last-minute interventions and instant changes to on-screen graphics and information displays. iTX's powerful facilities for playing out different commercial breaks across multiple regions make it an agile system for developing and serving audiences on a global scale and driving effective revenue models.
