New features and capabilities further strengthen OmniBus' product offerings for broadcasters, whether operating in conventional hardware-based environments, transitioning to an IT-based model or creating entirely new facilities based on the most advanced technology available.

On Display at BES EXPO 2010:

OmniBus iTX — OmniBus iTX is the next-generation, enterprise-class transmission solution that delivers a superior return on investment compared with conventional broadcast automation, master control and playout systems. Deployed in a variety of scenarios by some of the world's leading broadcasters, iTX combines and exceeds all of the functions of a conventional transmission chain in a single integrated suite of software applications and includes a comprehensive range of advanced media asset management features.

OmniBus will demonstrate the latest version of iTX, which offers more than 100 new features designed to further enhance the outstanding flexibility and power of the industry's leading platform. New features include a range of enhancements for iTX's advanced graphics functionality, including adjustable-speed text crawls, optionally driven from RSS feeds or external text files, and support for full-screen-resolution TARGA sequences. A powerful audio processing engine delivers multi-stream PCM and AC3 capability, remapping and processing of streams with full 16-channel embedded output, automatic multi-language mapping using language tags and desktop preview monitoring of multi-channel audio streams. Support is also included for MOS playlists, external HSM archives (DIVArchive, SuitcaseTV) and third-party schedule imports and MXF OP1B, as well as regional channels and split breaks. iTX's operational flexibility is further enhanced by new features such as monitoring of commercial minutage against a defined value, VANC data handling and increased support for external graphics devices.
