OmniBus Systems Expands U.S. Operations With Key Executive Appointments

DENVER — Feb. 16, 2010 — OmniBus Systems, the award-winning provider of comprehensive broadcast automation, content management and workflow solutions, today announced the appointment of two key U.S. executives as part of the company's continuing East and West Coast expansion. Ed DeLauter joins as senior project manager, based in New York, and Doug Jackson heads strategic account management in Los Angeles. Both widely experienced industry figures, DeLauter and Jackson will play a prominent role in developing the market penetration of the OmniBus iTX advanced IT-based transmission and automation platform.

DeLauter is widely experienced in project management and engineering director roles with Ascent Media, BBC Technology, WWE and HITN among others, and Jackson has more than 20 years in senior strategic and management positions with major companies including Sony Pictures Entertainment and Technicolor.

"These important appointments reflect the excitement generated in the industry by the iTX transmission and automation platform, which is attracting high-caliber figures like DeLauter and Jackson," said Mike Oldham, CEO of OmniBus Systems. "This rounds off a remarkable year for OmniBus, in which we have seen a continued rise in revenue for our iTX product suite from flagship sales of iTX in U.S. and worldwide markets. There is already huge momentum behind iTX, and our continuing expansion with recruitments of DeLauter and Jackson's quality will help to accelerate that through 2010."

"Game-changing technologies don't come along every year," said DeLauter. "But with iTX, OmniBus has definitely produced a platform that redefines what is possible in the automation and transmission space. Inevitably, when a new category-defining product comes into a market, it takes a while before everyone fully appreciates its capabilities and potential for reshaping the way people can do business. The biggest names in broadcasting have been quick to build innovative services and ground-breaking installations with iTX, and now, as every month goes by, there is fast-growing awareness that the future of automation and transmission lies in advanced IT-based systems."

"Economic pressures combined with rapid change in the industry mean that broadcasters and media companies are more than ever seeking the most incisive tools for achieving business success," said Jackson. "That's why there is such huge success and potential at OmniBus. iTX is exactly the right product at the right time — a clear industry leader that brings new standards of efficiency, versatility and technical capability within the reach of any media organization building a platform for success in the coming decades."

OmniBus iTX is a next-generation enterprise-class platform that makes the conventional broadcast automation, master control and playout chain obsolete. Combining and exceeding all the functions of a conventional chain in a single, integrated suite of software applications, iTX is flexible, open and feature-rich, and offers a significantly more configurable and responsive end-to-end solution for a wide range of operating environments. With market-beating support for SD and HD formats, and an exceptional ability to integrate with third-party systems, iTX delivers the most powerful solution available while significantly reducing the investment required to launch and operate high-quality channels in broadcast, IPTV, mobile TV, disaster recovery and business continuity applications.
