Live on iTX!
The resultant script can then be imported into iTX. All assets relating to the script – graphic files, fonts etc. – are stored in a single zip file, along with the script itself, and this zip file is dropped into the iTX Inbox and managed in iTX as a single asset.
Once inside the iTX user interface, data can be entered into dynamic fields, or the script can source data from databases and external feeds for tickers, weather reports, stock market updates etc.
Individual audio files for the in and out transitions can also be associated with the graphic.
The imported designs can either be loaded the iTX Live GFX control or added to the schedule via the iTX GFX plug-in. Each script can contain a number of individual elements – such as clock on/off, ticker on/off - which can be assigned to the specific Live CG button or scheduled item.
The graphic can be previewed directly on the iTX Desktop, including all of the animations and effects.
It can be taken to air either manually using the Live GFX control or scheduled within the iTX playlist.
One of the most powerful features of iTX GFX is its ability to contain multiple interacting effects within a single script. This gives the impression of having multiple character generators available that can be controlled independently. In the example shown, there are separate effects cues to bring on the OmniBus logo, the time banner and the weather graphic. These can be scheduled independently or controlled live from buttons on the Desktop.
In addition, these effects can interact with each other. So, for example, a news strap can remain on screen for the duration of bulletin, but animate off to bring on a name super which, in turn, is animated off screen to reveal the news strap again.
