iTX NEWS offers unprecedented flexibility in late-breaking situations by allowing operators to move seamlessly between completely automated sequential operation and highly responsive total random-access manual control.
This MOS-compatible solution can operate in one of two modes:
- Self-contained: ideal for small regional bulletins which can be produced entirely within the iTX environment with cameras, graphics, video clips etc.
- Smart Video Server: for larger, more complex operations, iTX NEWS works as a “Smart Video Server” with one or more iTX systems feeding a conventional production switcher and transitions taking place either on the production switcher or within iTX.
The iTX NEWS user interface consists of multiple components which can be presented in a variety of configurations to suit the specific tasks of individual operators. This outstanding flexibility accommodates a wide range of news workflows from regional news bulletins under the control of a single operator through to network news playout with multiple operators.
As a networked control system, iTX NEWS can give multiple users simultaneous access to content and control. For example, the news producer can be searching for content and re-marking points using one set of components, while the director can cue and take items to air using another.
